Sugar High

Two nights ago Bryan and I were stuffing a pinata for my birthday (no we are not five, we just like pinatas), and we got the crazy idea to feed our dog gumdrops. We did not take into consideration that he has never had sugar before. He absolutely LOVED the gumdrops, and was a happy little camper, and all was normal until about 15 minutes later..... We took him upstairs and we were getting ready for bed, and Zeus started sprinting back and forth and back and forth and back and forth across the room. I didn't know that our chubby unathletic dog could run that fast! He then sprinted into the bathroom and dove into the tub! For a second I thought that I had a lab dog or something much more athletic. Then, he dove out of the tub and did some more sprinting, and attacked a couple of toys. Then he sat there for about 10 seconds and then layed down. Apparently he went from high to low VERY fast. The whole time Bryan and I just watched in amazement. So, the moral of the story is...don't feed your dog gumdrops, and we are definitely not ready for children!
